Senior Business Systems Analyst
One of our clients in Richmond, VA is looking for candidates with 7-10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst (IT and/or Business areas) with a background in Data Warehouse projects. MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, etc) are a must. Experience in some area of Insurance (ideally speciality insurance) is a BIG PLUS. Candidate must have the capability to review SQL tables, run queries, and analysis data.
Candidates will be working with the Wholesale Insurance - primarily Actuarial - portion of the client. The primary focus will be on "TRACK 2 - Month End Snapshot" phase for the Data Warehouse initiative. The primary initiative is a consolidation or rewrite of the Business Units systems and applications. Analysts will initially work with business users and internal customers for the first 2 months gathering requirements and focusing on understanding the primary needs, wants, and frustrations of the client. As requirements are defined, BSAs will work with Modelers, and Developers to design framework and applications. Individuals will stay involved throught he SDLC process (through QA and into production) to ensure that the business is/will receive what is/was requested.

Strong people skills. Individual needs to demonstrate the capabilities of negotiating and obtaining information from end user, clients, and account/business management personnel.
