NOC Technicians
One of our clients in Richmond, VA is looking for NOC Technicians – Level 1, 2, and 3
The consultant shall provide NOC Level support and maintain the DeCA Local Area Networks (LANs), Wireless LANs (WLANs) and limited Wide Area Network (WAN) support. This support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This will be a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity.
Duties:
Help Desk Support
The consultant will review network Customer Assistance Office (CAO) reported problems and assist customers. The DeCA trouble ticket system is to be employed to open, process, and close trouble tickets. The consultant will also establish and staff a Help Desk to help resolve problems while managing all aspects of store hubs/switches, up/down switches and router ports.
The consultant will also troubleshoot and resolve store LAN and WLAN problems and store WAN access problems. Also, they will report circuit outages to vendor, notify designated addressees of complete store outages, and maintain hourly contact with service providers until problems are resolved.
The consultant will troubleshoot and resolve Region and HQ office LAN problems. On top of this they will troubleshoot and resolve store hub and router hardware failures and communications equipment uninterruptible power source problems.
Finally, the consultant will summarize component configuration changes under CDRL A005 and provide input for or submit additional CDRLs as needed, directed or assigned.
Travel:
The client does not require any travel.
Required Skills:
Possess the CCNA certification and any of the four IA Level One certifications; A+, Network+, TICSA or SSCP.
