IT Desktop Support
Aerotek, a leader in the staffing industry, is looking for experienced IT Desktop Support to work in Austin, TX with a Fortune 500 electronics manufacturing client. These indefinite length contract positions are available for first shift.
Ideal candidates for the position will be able to configure computer and telecommunication equipment according to corporate guidelines, evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisition and upgrades. Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. In addition, candidates need a strong attention to detail and ability to work individually.
Job requirements:
3 to 5 years in Desk side Support.
Strong knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware
Windows 2000/XP Professional, Knowledge
Microsoft Active Directory including Policies
Ability to create Scripts to deploy software Installations and system changes.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003/2007
Microsoft Outlook
Microsoft WSUS
PDA Configurations
Excellent communication skills and customer facing skills.
Team player. Self motivated.
Minimum Certifications A+ certified,
MCDST. MCSE a plus.
