Sr. Server Engineer
Our client is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer on a permanent basis in the Memphis, TN area.
The Sr. Network Engineering Administrator is responsible for analysis, modeling, design and implementation of networks and servers. This position advises our administers networks and server to ensure a reliable and efficient environment for the processing of data and maintains network and server integrity through establishment of control and recovery procedures.
The successful candidate will:
-Lead projects to build/upgrade shared and annexed solutions, including Shared Web farms and Shared Vitalization farms
-Collect requirements analyze metrics to properly architect a given solution ? Work with SME's from Network Engineering
-Define the backup/recovery, disaster recovery plans and monitoring solution ? Address security and controls issues
-Facilitate Service Engineering (training, Operating Level Agreements, cost models, etc.)
-Develop application migration plans (end of lease server migrations, OS migrations)
-Conduct application engineering reviews to determine where/how applications should be hosted (e.g. annexed servers, shared servers, B.C., B2B, Intranet, etc.).
-Manage the Quality Assurance Certification work queue and perform testing of server components submitted for certification
-Minimum 5 years experience architect, engineering, and/or implementing large-scale Microsoft Infrastructure solutions
-Experience implementing/managing VM ware ESX Server and Virtual Center shared environments
-Expertise with HP Server platforms: DL 380 / DL 580 / DL 680
-Expertise with Storage Technologies - preferably IBM - SAN, SCSI,
-Strong understanding of networking technologies/concepts- VLANS, switches, load balancing, reverse proxy, firewalls, etc.
-Strong Microsoft software expertise e.g. Windows 2000/2003 Server, IIS, Active Directory, SQL Server, ASP, COM, COM+, .Net
