Project Manager (Applications)
Our client currently has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to work on a long term contract basis in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
On a daily basis, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing the planning, organizing and implementation of a complex technical project involving multiple phases/workstreams and systems while moving the project from a vendor development model to an offshore model. S/he will take the project from conception through implementation providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team, developing detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, and resource plans. S/he will manage vendor and client relations to ensure project expectations are met, ensuring awareness of impacts to project scope, cost, quality, and schedule. S/he ensures adherence to current project management standard processes and integration report guidelines. The position does involve some travel as needed.
Skills Required
1. Minimum 7 years Project Management experience-specifically managing major impact projects and/or multiple complex projects.
2. Strong working knowledge of project management processes and exceptional communication skills
4. Experience managing client expectations and communicating effectively with senior technology and business management
6. MSProject experience in large projects
7. Good working knowledge of MSWord, MSExcel, MSPowerpoint
9. Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology-related field
11. Experience with vendor firms and offshore work groups is preferred
