One of TEKsystems leading clients within the Digital Media Industry is seeking a Technical Lead for a permanent engagement located in Downtown Toronto. Below I have listed the job description.

Job Description
· Responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the projects that they are assigned, as well as the development team that’s size ranges from 1 to 10 developers depending on the project. · Assists the development team in implementing technical designs, standards and processes, as well as provides mentoring and assistance in technical matters and issues.
· Assists team with programming tasks
· Assists the Architect with developing and documenting high-level technical designs (conceptual architecture) and physical application architectures
· Provides advanced knowledge of currently implemented technologies
· Researches/recommends new and emerging technologies
· Primary technical interface to the Project Manager, Project Owner, Business Analyst, development team and other project team members
· Drives the development to implement to the agreed specifications and design
· Coordinate with Operations Team to access the load and stress on existing environment.
· Responsible for providing the following project activities, from a technical perspective:
-Setting realistic expectations on timelines/deliveries
-Raising risks/issues well before hand
-Regular progress updates
-Reviews all team deliverables for conformity to quality and standards
Qualifications
· An undergraduate degree
· At least 5 years of working in a web development environment- ** Expertise in back-end development is a must **
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to communicate in French is a plus
· Knowledge of most or all of the following:
-Java, J2EE, JSP
-Oracle
-SQL
-WebLogic
-Unix/Linux
-Perl
-PHP
-SOAP, Web Services
-n-tier architecture
-HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX
-XML, XSLT
-Interwoven TeamSite
