JAVA Programmer/Analyst
Our Client within the Communications Industry is seeking a JAVA Developer to join their team for a 2.5 month contract with the possibility of extension. The opportunity is located in GTA West. This person will be responsible for assisting the existing team in the revitalization of existing internal applications to enhance usability for various business units within the organization. Responsibilities:
- Work with existing internal applications in order to extract data, modify and transfer to various other JAVA-based applications
- review existing reports within the application and pull required data in order to modify and enhance the functionality and usability of such reports
- Design, code and test programs related to the existing applications
- Maintain version control using standard source code management tools
- Analyze programs for performance and recommend ways to improve them
- Troubleshoot errors existing within the application and develop new code to correct and enhance
Requirements:
- 4-5yrs of JAVA development/analysis experience
- Experience working with both Hibernate and Struts
- Experience working with SQL Server
- Self-starter mentality
- Experience with DTS strongly preferred
