System Administrator
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Evaluating, installing, managing, and troubleshooting server hardware and software solutions.
- Ensuring system fault tolerance, backup strategies, including data management and offsite storage for business continuity planning and practices.
- Active Directory security design and management (implementing best of breed technology and industry best practices).
- Building and maintaining server design and administration documentation.
- Collaborating with clients, vendors, business partners, and the IT Team, to design, manage, and support a solid server infrastructure that provides Services required for current and future business.
As a Network Administrator, the qualified candidate must:
- Have detailed experience with server hardware troubleshooting, setup and maintenance, including installing and configuring fault tolerant RAID disk storage systems, NAS, SCSI, PCI, and other hardware devices including, NIC's, processors, memory, tape drives, etc .
- Candidate must have scripting experience for automation in a Windows Enterprise environment.
- Have detailed experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining server OS and related software applications. Experience with the following OS's and applications desired:, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows 2000/2003 Advanced Server.
- Experience with the following applications preferred: Exchange, SQL, BizTalk Server, IIS, and Veritas Backup Exec for Windows.
- Have understanding of OS hardening, anti-virus, intrusion detection.
- Candidate needs to have a solid understanding of supporting a VMWare environment.
- Have experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Have strong communication skills and be detail oriented with the ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Having experience with NetApp is a plus.
- Have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
- MCSE/MCP Certification is preferred.
- The qualified candidate must have 4 years of extensive experience with Windows Server 2003 System Administration.
