Sr. Java Developer
TEKsystems has partnered with a client in Raleigh in search of a Java developer for a long term contract. Senior level position is responsible for leading the technical design and development of the client’s relationship management product. As a member of a cross functional Agile feature team, tasks will consist of contributing to feature requirements, design and development of reusable components, defining best practices and mentoring team members, collaborating with test engineers to ensure the highest quality product.
The ideal candidate will have strong client-side web application skills or extensive server side development and should be experienced working in distributed, collaborative development teams. The Ideal candidate will have a passion for the latest client side technologies, experience building “Best of Breed” dynamic web interfaces and a terrific work ethic.
Qualifications for this opportunity include:
10+ years related experience;
2+ years developing browser-based Web 2.0 applications using client-side Javascript with a server-side, Java-based template system (e.g. JSP)
Bachelor's Degree
Interaction design and usability skills.
Expert Javascript skills using Ajax, JSON, CSS, and HTML.
Experience with one or more Javascript libraries or frameworks (such as ExtJS, Prototype, JQuery, GWT, Dojo).
Experience with Internationalization (i18n) and Localization (l10n) of code
Experience working on Agile feature teams
