SQL Server DBA
The candidates must meet the following requirements:
· 5+ years experience in the areas of:
Designing, creating and maintaining client/server database environments
Implementing logical data models to physical structures on SQL Server 2000 or higher.
Installing necessary database objects.
Setting up all kinds of replication (merge, transactional, snapshot).
Performing database backup and recovery. Planning backup policies.
Performing database and application performance/tuning.
Managing and troubleshooting SQL server in a clustered / multiple server environment.
Coordinating, planning and performing maintenance and upgrades for all related databases.
Developing diagnostics and disaster recovery plans in order to safeguard the integrity of the database.
Supporting and implementing database migrations across environments.
Analyzing current database information and architecture and recommending methods to improve performance of the database.
Implementing monitoring and scheduling systems for SQL jobs and processes.
Implementing database standards and procedures across multiple environments
·Experience with tools for monitoring, scheduling, performance tuning & backup.
·Ability to provide technical expertise for all client/server related databases.
·Good analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate database problems and identify appropriate solutions
·Ability to provide 24 hour on-call production support.
·Experience with deploying IT systems and database changes to production environment.
·Thorough understanding of best demonstrated industry practices in the areas of SQL Server support and production deployment.
·Strong communication skills and be detailed oriented with the ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
·Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
·Ability to work closely with customers (internal/external).
·Ability to serve as a mentor for existing and new team members.
