UNIX Administrator
One of our current client's is looking for a UNIX ADMINISTRATOR
The primary responsibility of this position is administration of UNIX operating systems in an Enterprise Computing Environment.
responsibilities include:
Administer UNIX operating systems
Configure multiple hosts and servers
Create and maintain system shell scripts (Tk and Perl)
Participate on the IT on-call rotation/after-hours support to internal clients 24/7
-Act as department liaison for meetings, work groups, and committees :
A qualified candidate must have experience as a systems administrator of multiple UNIX-based systems with specific experience with HP/HP-UX and/or IBM/AIX
-Experience in highly available systems and RAID configurations
-Experience performing system configuration management processes and procedures, including:
-Symantec Clustering Techniques
-Complex Filesystem Administration
-Storage area networking
-Secure networking concepts
-Server virtualization concepts
-Patch Management concepts
-Hardware administration and support
-Performance Monitoring and System Tuning
-Solaris 10 Virtualization knowledge Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
