Network Security Analyst
Description:
This position will be responsible for maintaining the security of our clients network and computer systems and the protection of data from unauthorized access. This individual will monitor various security systems and resolve and report security violations. You will participate in company security audits assessing network security vulnerabilities and recommending solutions.
Duties will include server hardening and patch management, configuring and maintaining server and desktop firewall policies and managing IDS/IPS appliances.
This position will also work closely with other areas of the Information Systems group, particularly with Client Support
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in network security engineering / operations / administration
- Excellent knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, IPSec)
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies, routing and switching
- IDS / IPS / Firewall Monitoring experience
- Working knowledge of Checkpoint Firewall
- Working knowledge of Juniper Security devices, i.e. SSL VPN
- Microsoft Windows/Linux Administration experience
- Experience hardening servers
- SSL certificates management
- Experience with Security Analyzers (Solar Winds, Snort)
- CISSP or similar IT certifications are beneficial
- Excellent Troubleshooting Skills
- Ability to multi-task
Non Technical:
- Interface with customers and vendors regarding network security issues.
- Excellent Organizational Skills, including the ability to manage time and multiple tasks. - Excellent written and oral skills.
Education:
College degree or equivalent work experience
Other:
Some off-hours work is required. This position will be very dynamic and require a person that is able to work in a very team-oriented environment yet take ownership of the responsibilities of this position.
