SAP Basis Administrator
Our client is seeking an experienced Basis Administrator for a full-time permanent position (W2) in the northern NJ area. Candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for the US Army.
5+ years hands on SAP Basis experience, including: SAP technical landscape design, Solution Manager, implementation of SAP change control process & procedures, hardware selection and installation, high availability and failover, storage (direct attached SAN), Oracle for DB2, UNIX, operations expertise in SAP systems management, SAP security, and load performance testing. In addition, security administration of the SAP environment which includes Enterprise Portal, ECC 6.0 and all other SAP instances. Configuring Basis components related to security such as CUA, Digital Certificates and SAPLOGON tickets security issues related to SAP environment such as database security, database patching and investigating network security issues such as firewalls and proxy server rules.
- 5+ years hands on SAP Basis experience, including:
- SAP technical instance landscape design
- Installation/Upgrade of new SAP Dimension Product
- Installation/Configuration of Solution Manager
- Implementation of SAP change control process & procedures
- Oracle / MAXDB Database Administration
- Unix / Microsoft Windows Administration
- SAP Security, security role development
- Load and Performance Testing
- At least 2 full SAP life cycles
- 10+ years overall IT experience
- Identified as an expert go-to person within the company and client
- Major contributor to innovative approaches or solutions developed to resolve issues
Must be knowledgeable in at least several of the following, in addition to SAP Basis expertise:
- Networking (DNS, SSH, HTTPS, Proxy, Firewalls, TCPIP, IPV6)
- Smart Cards/CAC Cards
- Single sign-on
- Disaster Recovery
- IT strategy & operations
- Middleware / Firewall / Application Proxy
- Portals / Java / J2EE engine
Strong Analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, must be self starter, possess the ability to drive the business and work successfully in a team environment.
