Exchange / Active Directory Engineer
TEKsystems in Minneapolis is seeking a Microsoft Network Engineer for a 3 month contract to hire opportunity. Our client is looking to add an engineer to their Web Services Support team, which currently consists of 7 engineers. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Microsoft networking experience. As this is a team oriented environment, the right candidate also needs to be a great team player, while still being highly self motivated and comfortable operating with little direction/supervision.
Our client currently has roughly 120 servers and a 20 server blade center. They are currently running Windows Server 2003 in a multi-domain Active Directory environment. The web team is responsible for supporting IIS, clustered SQL 2000 and 2005, clustered Exchange, EMC SAN and NAS, NET IQ, Webtrends, VMWare, and Cisco.
Day to day activity will include normal production support and project work. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting a web environment (IIS and SQL). They will also have a very good understanding of Microsoft Networking principles including Active Directory and Group Policy. Network monitoring is with NET IQ and Webtrends.
*Critical to this position will be a solid understanding of Microsoft Networking including Active Directory (Group Policy).
