IA /Cyber Security Engineer

TEKsystems has partnered with a top Government integrator to identify an Information Assurance/ Cyber Security Engineer for a 6 month to permanent opportunity in Greenbelt, MD.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Information Assurance / Cyber Security Engineer will be tasked with providing the technical support for security engineering. Provide support in the implementation and analysis of STIG and NSA SNAC guides for testing and hardening of various COTS products including Windows OS, Linux OS, Oracle Dbase, BAE Web Logic, Net Apps and Hitachi SAN, and Network resources that primarily consist of CISCO products. Provide support in the generation of NIST and DCID 6/3 related documentation in order to successfully pass Certification and Accreditation (C&A) for Unclassified and Classified Systems.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree required
REQUIRED SKILLS: This position requires at least 5-10 years experience in the field of Information Assurance or Cyber Security and has CISSP certification. This position will require excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with the LMTSS ERA Program team and customer, vendors, and external parties as needed during the course of the project. Experienced in conducting and analyzing results of Vulnerability scans using Security tools like Nessus 3, SRR, Web Inspect and various other Security related tools. Hands on experience on hardening various COTS products referenced above and independent validation of security settings in compliance with NIST 800-53A and DCID 6/3 controls using STIGs and NSA SNAC guides. Experience in writing documents to NIST 800-53A and DCID 6/3 PL3 standards for Certification and Accreditation.
DESIRED SKILLS: TS/SCI clearance is a plus
