FoxPro developer with .NET
TEKsystems is looking for a FOXPRO developer with Web development experience with ASP.NET and VB.NET for a long term contract opportunity in Naperville, IL.
Our client is a medical claims processing organization and they are looking to migrate their current FOXPRO environment to SQL Server 2005 and need a Foxpro developer and .NET Web Developer to join this team who has worked in a similar environment or on a similar project. The data conversion piece is not as important as recent development with Foxpro.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Developer will be responsible for the design, coding, testing and support of multiple external client facing and internal web applications that support the business.
Job Responsibilities:
1 - Responsible for the development, enhancement and maintenance of all of the company's internal and external web applications and provide working leadership in the IT Department.
2 - Obtain a thorough understanding of business workflow's to support the company's continued fast growth with innovative solutions to client needs.
3 - Provide support to internal web applications users.
4 - Set deadlines, and communicate/manage progress of projects.
5 - Perform all other duties assigned by the CIO.
Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of developing database driven web applications using ASP, ASP.Net, XML, VB.Net, JavaScript, ADO, ADO.Net and SQL.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fox Pro and designing SQL Server 2000/2005 databases as well as coding of stored procedures and performance tuning
- Recent experience with migrating web applications from ASP to ASP.Net desired.
- Ability to quickly design, prototype and code efficient user interfaces.
- Solid working knowledge of Windows 2003 environments required.
- Experience maintaining web servers (IIS, Certificates, FTP) desired.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with development of RoboHelp web-based help systems a plus.
- A desire and willingness to keep informed and educated about web technology and applications as well as an ability to analyze how it can be best used to accomplish the company goals and client satisfaction.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in the handling of all company and client data, understanding of HIPAA privacy and security rules is a plus.
- Good organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize, set, and meet deadlines and multitask.
