Quality Assurance Analyst
TEKsystems has partnered with an Atlanta area Banking Solutions Software firm to offer a position as a Quality Assurance Analyst. This client has a proprietary check imaging solution that holds considerable market share in this quickly expanding industry.
This client has requested candidates with 3-5 years of experience in QA testing. Any experience with Banking software is a plus. An ideal candidate will have experience with VMWare. The backend used for these systems is Oracle, so experience with that is a plus as well. I have included a description below. Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for testing of all software applications shipped to customers. In addition, the Quality Assurance Analyst tracks defects associated with proprietary applications and communicates with Development during the defect resolution process.
Responsibilities - Execute test plans - Prepare test plans and cases - Report and track bugs - Retest fixed defects - Work with team to develop procedures, select tools and define best practices
Educational and Experience Requirements - College degree desirable - 4-5 years in Quality Assurance or related function - Understanding of software development life cycle - Understanding of iterative development - Knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures - Knowledge of VMware, Windows XP, Windows 2003 server, Vista, Oracle - Ability to clearly describe issues, ideas and procedures - Ability to block out external factors and focus on the task at hand - Problem solving ability - Analytical skills - Must be able to clearly and fluently communicate in English both verbally and in writing - Good Interpersonal skills - Must be able to identify problems, seek resources for guidance, analyze resolutions, and communicate and/or implement resolutions
