Business Analyst
Our client in Atlanta is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their team. Candidates must be able to communicate with business owners, users and IT professionals with equal ease to create and preserve the functional integrity of the solution. This role serves as facilitator, analyst, specifications owner and problem solver. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to operate in a team environment are essential, as are outstanding documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
-Work closely and interact directly with business owners and IT staff to identify, rationalize/gather and document business requirements; then design and document practical, useful, and cost effective solutions in the form of functional specifications which become the basis for development and testing.
-Have experience in INFRASTRUCTURE RELATED PROJECTS (as a B/A or PM); Must have identified and gathered requirements that have helped put an Infrastructure/Hardware Solution in place in support of a website or application
-Conduct analysis that identifies current and future state functional, system and data flows.
-Make process improvement and systems enhancement recommendations, leveraging best practices and professional experience.
-Maintain high levels of customer service at all times.
-Conduct application design sessions and moderate other discussions as necessary.
-Conceptually understand the technology stack and distributed multi tier J2EE architecture in order to participate in complex analysis.
-Work with project managers to communicate project status and issues to business owners.
-Work with project managers to manage individual work load and assist with defining and prioritizing project tasks.
-Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities or projects.
-Collaborate closely with and assist application development teams when required to ensure the functional integrity of project deliverables.
-Work with project teams to develop detailed specifications for application functionality.
-Serve as the functionality expert while actively participating in testing, training, and user documentation development.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, MIS/IT or Engineering; advanced degree preferred
-Demonstrated experience working in team settings required
-3 or more years business experience in relevant functional areas (especially technology sales, service or marketing) required
-Experience with relevant software preferred, including Microsoft Office applications, MS Project, and Visio
