UI Engineer
One of TEKsystems clients has an immediate need for a UI Engineer in Ft. Lauderdale!
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
-Create/implement web designs in standard-compliant browser-safe XHTML, JavaScript and CSS
-Implement server-side UI components using JEE server template technologies
-Work side-by-side with JEE engineers to push the limits of today’s web technologies
-Generate high fidelity prototypes to be used as proof points
-Work with QA engineers to test web applications
Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities)
-Extensive knowledge and experience in HTML, Javascript, CSS and general Web 2.0 techniques.
-Expertise in developing efficient AJAX interfaces with in-depth knowledge of available AJAX libraries and frameworks (e.g. jQuery, GWT, etc.)
-Experience with Java, JSP, Velocity/Freemarker, Sitemesh
-Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PHP, Perl, Groovy, Ruby)
-Passion for creating efficient, scalable web interfaces.
-Solid design skills
-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively when discussing issues with team members and customers
-Understanding of web services
