Security Administrator
Our client a large Telecommunications company located in Miami is seeking a Multi Platform Security Administrator for a 4-6 month contract to permanent position.
This individual will be working as part of a security team responsible for reviewing and enhancing network security standards, performing network security monitoring, conducting security vulnerability assessments, tracking and resolution of network security issues.
Required Technical Skills:
1) Strong technician with experience supporting Microsoft and Unix based technologies, security and operating systems/applications (Unix, Linux, AIX, Solaris, Microsoft 2003, XP)
2) Oracle Database Experience and configuration of Database Monitoring tools (OEM)
3) Network Security - Intermediate with 1 or 2 year(s) experience in information security, including security vulnerability assessment in a distributed network environment.
4) Strong technical knowledge and experience in networking and TCP/IP, as well as general network, wireless technologies, platform, and application security technologies and practices.
5) Experience managing tasks assigned to multiple team members and reporting status against project milestones using a tool such as Microsoft Project.
Primary Responsibilities:
1) Identify vulnerabilities and corrective actions, and prepare remediation recommendations.
2) Assist in monitoring and maintaining network and/or host intrusion detection systems and file integrity monitoring, and participate as needed in security event response processes.
3) Review firewall, VPN and other network device security changes.

Preferred Technical Skills:
Intermediate 2 years experience with the following network security tools:
1) NetIQ / Symantec Security Information Manager
2) Nessus / Internet Security Scanner / Symantec Enterprise Security Manager / WebInspect
3) SNORT / Cisco IPS
4) TCP/IP / NMAP
5) Tripwire
6) Shavlik / Windows System Update Server / Windows SMS
7) SolarWinds / OpenView / Nagios
8) Microsoft Visio
9) Microsoft Project
10) Security In-Depth architecture
All candidates must be able to pass a 7 year criminal background check and a drug screening.
