Business Analyst
Our client, a leading health care product company located in Santa Clara, CA, is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team.
You will support the Company's marketing projects that vary in size and scope from large strategic initiatives to system replacement, process improvements, and existing application support. You will be responsible for analyzing business practices, gathering and documenting requirements, preparing project proposals, conduct vendor selection, developing and executing test scripts, creating production support plan and end-user documentation and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Charts business and IT processes by partnering with process owners and using appropriate methods and tools
- Defines business and IT process requirements through requirements gathering activities
- Guides implementation of application and process improvements by creating and communicating well-written documentation and presentations
- Assures quality of business systems by developing and executing test plans and specifications
- Resolves issues related to business use of implemented systems or processes by working with systems or process owners, project teams and vendors
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree plus 8-10 years minimum IT experience
- 5 years experience with functioning as Business Systems Analyst (strong preference for life science industry experience)
- 3 years project leadership/management experience. This includes managing and executing project plans, coordinating resources, managing deliverables and providing project status reports.
- Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycles and Project Management methodologies
- Strong understanding of IT applications and infrastructures
- Experience in working with web-based applications
- Must be able to work and communicate with all levels of management
- Proficient in managing customer expectations and third-party vendors
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and resources simultaneously
- Must be able to work independently and require minimal supervision
